We like pie in Alaska and Hawaii. We just have a hard time with the colonialist underpinnings of Thanksgiving and that leads to data that's difficult to visualize in a simple pie chart.
no lie: there is an annu apple pie sale in town put on by an Episcopalian church. the pies are baked by the church folks. they sold over 250 this year. I was too late to get one.

Well over here we have Cottage Pie and Shepherd's Pie, which are neither made from cottages nor shepherds, nor are they technically pies, as they are mix in a shallow tray with a coating of mashed potato on top.
