My dad was in charge of coordinating a team bonding event for his coworkers (who all earn European vacations as work incentives), so he booked Rick for an hour-long group Zoom call.

Dad sent me the Zoom link because I grew up watching “Rick Steves Europe” with him and I’m a true nerd about Rick.

Rick was funny and warm. He talked about how to travel ethically, thoughtfully, and intentionally. He emphasized the importance of open-mindedness and humility when entering into other people’s cultures. He also talked about how the criminalization of weed is a form of systemic racism.
