Schumer and Gillibrand are my senators. I've emailed and left voicemails making clear they'll lose my support forever, and I'll fund anyone who faces them in future primaries if they vote yes.
Yet as of Thursday he and many others were still undecided. We are praising the same Senators like he and Kelly who vacillated until the last hour to see which way the wind blew. Let’s remember who the actual politicians who had our backs from Day 1.
And I can’t reach either of them! I will support primaries for both Schumer and Gillibrand. I’ve disliked Gillibrand ever since she got Al Franken to leave the Senate when he was being set up for Me too.
This has been bothering me, for the last 5 yrs. Why do I know who other states' sen/rep even are? Before 2016, I didn't know or care. Now, I'm writing post cards to other states to remind them to vote. Things weren't perfect b4, but I've never been so worried.
Sure, but "Fuck no" is also an appropriate response to GOP bullshit, and definitely not something the good Reverend is likely to say (aloud and in public). 😁
Nah, Schumer and his band of Cheney Democrats gave them all cover so they could say "we said no" and keep fundraising.

He's my senator and I got arrested with him once...but no. As of late he's taken really terrible positions on stuff, voted for the Laken Riley bill among others and bragged at his town hall about working with Republicans. I'm thrilled he's taken the right position here but that doesn't negate that.
That’s too bad. He’s one of the best orators in Congress, IMO. But in general, you want your party leadership to be from safe states/districts so that being a face of the party doesn’t hurt their chances of getting re-elected.
I agree with this but there's a countervailing consideration where you end up with all these party leadership positions filled with people with no charisma/oratory skills. Dems need a face of the party right now that isn't a Schumer/Pelosi/Jefferies backroom dealer type.
He's absolutely a brilliant speaker. Morehouse grad, just like MLK. And Georgia certainly isn't safe but he's not up for reelection until 2028 so this is just depressing. Ossoff is doing it too but he's up next year and our popular governor is likely running against so at least it makes more sense.
He's been blowing me off about the people of Palestine since October and then was so proud of himself for making a speech months later. He's okay, but there's better.
I'm disappointed about the LR act vote too, but if we're honest it would've been political suicide to vote against it in GA. He offered that he voted for an amendment to protect due process, but that amendment was left out. Ultimately he got played, but live and learn.
that is my guy ...I love him so..
we have no weak spined Democrats in Georgia take it from the leaders we have had in the past MLK the great John Lewis ...ossoff mentor ...
This is great, but he voted for felon47’s pick for labor secretary a couple days ago along with 16 other dems. Most of these democrat leaders are giving me pause at this critical moment. A lot of them ARE NOT holding the line. Stay strong. 💪🏼 👊🏼
