The next administration will be giving each of them the newly created Resistance Medal of Valor for safeguarding the most vulnerable people in the Resistance of tyranny. She will be giving out millions of them. 🇺🇲🇺🇲
We are living in a police state now. If he keeps this up we are all in trouble. No rules of law anymore, no Constitution. Why aren't we hearing about any opposition? Surely there are legal channels to pursue. It's starting to happen here and people a lot more powerful than me should be resisting.
Are USAid Inspector Generals basically dismissing USAid corruption when they do occasionally investigate themselves?
Was a USAid IG one of the recently dismissed by Trump?
Those funds were already allocated by Congress and signed into law. Trump’s job is to faithfully execute those laws. No more, no less.
Call your Congressman if you’d like more aid to go to your state next year, though I’m sure it already gets far more than that.
Actually...
the inspector general was compelled to investigate a corruption complaint that was given to him.
He was required to report on it, so he did. Then he declined to prosecute the perpetrators.
Defense of systemic corruption here on bluesky is disappointing, but not surprising.
Umm, no. Read it again. The IG took the matter to internal compliance. Compliance dropped the ball.
Regardless, you are right. Those who are responsible should have absolutely been held accountable.
"Trumps job is what I say it is, no more no less. All he should do is sign laws, not take executive actions."
"You get enough of your tax money, you don't need that money getting sent out of the country."
Yes, USAID has notoriously been poorly run. That doesn’t mean the majority of funds don’t actually help people. If he wants to improve it, great. But his track record on running successful operations is pretty thin.
"My Administration has been moving with urgency and historic speed to reverse every single disaster of the Biden Administration.
"The American decline is over.

Damn. If only people like you hadn't sanewashed him for months leading up to the election. This might not have happened, or at least we'd be better prepared.
It’s time for a general strike to force this extremism out of government. If 50% of the country doesn’t go to work for a while I doubt his billionaire enablers would be too happy
The Trump cabal is attempting to silence everyone who has expressed opposition to him and/or to what he’s attempting to do, as well as all who could investigate any complaints or reports of wrongdoing (i.e., the Inspectors General).

My state could use 1/50th of that, really. So yeah about 1/2 a $Billion? thank you, that'd be great.
