I find Chat GPT about as useful as Clippy. The tech really hasn't come THAT far that people should be using it the way they're using it. Maybe some things are way further ahead today than they were 2 years ago, but it's not a God

It is my understanding that LLMs are processing information more and more like the human brain. Taking in massive amounts of data and extrapolating, or guessing, what comes next. Prompts are the external stimulus to make those guesses, and they are getting better at it.

They have run out of training data. There is an exponential expansion in the need for training data with each version, that is why they had to start stealing data back in v2. They will be for the foreseeable future what they are now, a chat bot that will confirm whatever bias is in your question.

I've read but could cite ATM that LLM developers are using that process to have the models do some small self improvements.
Like biological evolution, this will start small, but the rate of 'evolution' in these systems should increase over time.
This is happening rapidly like us studying mayflies.

I asked CoPilot to take this document and pull the information I need out of it into a spreadsheet format so I can hand it off easily to someone else and that's the limit of my need for AI.

I do want to eventually find the time to write a script that can *consistently and correctly* do that though

I fear an AI takeover, but let's be accurate about it - the reason to fear it is because it's useful and often accurate, and not a "liar clippy".

Also, we don't have AI, it's a marketing stunt, it's not sentient, it can't 'willingly' take over.
