The insurance rep insisted on speaking to her.

I’m there with you. I lost my daughter to leukemia after 9 years of failing treatments. There were so few treatments available when standard chemo didn’t work. Now, it seems there were few available because insurance wouldn’t cover the cost of some so we didn’t even know they existed.

I feel your pain Wajahat, I had stage 2 colon cancer and UnitedHealthCare was my insurance. Not only were copays higher for chemotherapy they also denied claims for chemotherapy drugs I needed to live. CNN found me online begging for $ as I was rationing meds and food. Straight up evil

I had cancer in 2017 and it was very aggressive. My oncologist wanted to start me on chemo the minute he saw my lab results but had to wait 2 weeks for insurance approval. I know that doesn't sound like a long time, but it was.

Ashamed to say I listened to AARP and signed up with United Healthcare. Got ripped off for two years. It wasn't just that I was being overcharged. It was that I was being treated like dirt by their customer service.

Switched to Humana. Cheaper and hopefully better.
