Musk doesn't have an official role in the government according to the Trump Administration. Why the hell is a private citizen, the world's richest man, addressing the President and his cabinet?

Elon Musk at Trump's first Cabinet meeting: "I think this is the best Cabinet ever. Literally. So, uh, and I do not give false praise... I think it‘s literally the best Cabinet that the country has ever had."

I'm pretty sure that's airtight evidence for the fact that Musk is the polar opposite of "genius."

I am a private citizen. I would have been thrown to the ground, zip tied, and drug out the door.
He and the republican country has sold this country to putin.
The only thing holding back the onslaught of full blown authoritarianism is our last realm of checks and balances: the judiciary. However, Musk is pushing hard to fire any judge not appointed by Trump and hiring only Trump sycophants.
Oh, and Hegseth will ensure that if Trump wants to execute citizens with the military, Pete will not stop him.
Elon thinks Trump is his appointed figurehead and Trump thinks Elon is his henchman.
So which is it?
Dumb ass. The United States government is not a “company”.
