denmark is probably one of the less canonical cases bc parties in denmark multiplied earlier and faster than anywhere else other than maybe the netherlands
A Danish friend of mine once tried to explain to me the difference between all the parties and what struck me most was actually how little difference there seemed to be in their policy offerings. I do like Mette!
every year the danish govt sets aside parts of the budget specifically to be spent on opposition parties' priorities in exchange for their votes which results in comically lopsided budget votes. i think in 2023 (?) they got every party in except one to vote for the budget.
Not only that, but 'Wow!' means I forget the wonderfully constructed final two punches of 'Friendship is Magic' and the deadpan 'Green Party - 8 per cent'.
I think it is one all the all time greats (along with leopards and torment nexus). Citizens' Forum (fascist) is good too. The fascists always get 19%, the greens 8%
formed in 1923 to overthrow the government, their main campaign points now are to *not* increase the retirement age (again) and to spend 5% more on transit.
