Ableism teaches us that disabled people are “less than”. That they’re lazy or not trying hard enough.
Disability can & does happen to anyone. It doesn’t matter how hard you try or how much you “want” to be well.
We all deserve compassion & worth should never be based on economic contribution.

Who are these wicked people???
#patronised
At least people could see and i wouldn't get a many stares or glares to move.
Or disbelief when I tell people what I'm going through. The world already doesn't listen to black women. And i get "🤨".
Oh, I see, you don't need no stinkin' wisdom, eh?
Oh well, I did offer. 😵💫😵💫
Plan on living? Make that life a little better with some DEI with us.
It was so hard to convince him of such a simple and obvious truth: my life is better with him in it.
When I think about people who fit that bill, I don't think about disabled people. I first think about myself and the pile of work on my desk. Then I think about various politicians.
"Quand je me regarde je me désole, quand je me compare je me console."
All of those ableists are only temporarily able-bodied.
Karma will get 'em.
But I remember when my daughter was a toddler, I walked WITH her every single day.
Now, coming home after being on campus all day - my body is DONE.
Poor Mateo. He doesn't get Naomi's mom.
Then I got covid, and traumatic things happened, and now I'm be disabled for the foreseeable future. invisible. It's great!
It's almost wild to think i used to go every day without chronic pain -and walk/run long distances!
What's my point? That MAGA on top of being racist and generally cruel is ignorant of what DEI actually is. DEI isn't Affirmative action as MAGA believes.
