Imagine classic YouTubePoop, but with lore and serialized... taking itself 10% more seriously than average, and tons os secrets and theories...
It's no wonder it's popular, it mixed various things that blew up in the past into one!
I saw "skidikidi" on the list of banned words in a classroom. I guess it's become an annoyance to teachers. I mentioned that to my mom and she said "you said it twice and I'm already tired of it."
I feel like I'm in some sort of Twilight Zone. I thought it was just ONE silly thing posted somewhere that had an ongoing joke (that I still don't get)
This is supposed to be a joke account... I didn't think I'd have to actually punish anybody... this is genuinely scary... are you insane, Dan?? Why the fuck would you watch that shit??????
I'm having an "old grumpy man"-moment at 36 thinking about how kids 10 years from now are going to say "oh you remember skibidi toilet? Yeah man, that shit was so good!"
Just.. no... It's somewhat creative, that's the best thing I can call it. Holy shit.. the brainrot is real and we're all doomed.
But having said that.. At least those things had some.. I don't know. Substance. Or am I simply imagining that? Ok sure - They were meant to make us consume something, but there was some sort of story, it wasn't just weird bite-sized meta-level content with little to no narrative.. /2
Again, might just what I wanted to call "Old-man effect" when thinking about current culture. At least if we're talking brainrot I think it is certainly not a controversial take anymore to say that early internet access is harmful to a developing mind. I can't find a more logical conclusion /3
Shortened attention span, increased incidence of ADHD, information overload leading to behavior indicating smartphone addiction, "doomscrolling", disturbed sleeping patterns, earlier and earlier examples of increasing depression and self-harm. Internet bullying. /4
It's actually surprisingly deep and I think is one of the better things a kid could be watching on the internet, all things considered. It's just weird, interesting abstract science-fiction stuff.
Think of like… a 1st year college students 15 second 3D modeling project that went viral and they decided to rinse and repeat for each and every animation class they had…
And the subject was toilets with heads vs cameras with bodies.

Ba-dum-tsss 🥁
I had to see it for myself. I wanted to understand.
😂
When I heard Michael Bay was going to make a movie off it I was like, there's got to be something here right? Don't think I found it.

Ok, fine.
I just thought of at least 3 or 4 children's cartoons that were clearly simply indirect ads to force parents to buy action figures sort of. 1/
I got you watched it with AdBlock etc.

Idk what it's like to get too many likes on here but if it's like Tumblr I don't need that
