My dad, brother, and uncle (my mum's brother) all have the middle name Alan. None of them spell it the same way. Understandable for dad and uncle to spell diff. but now mum & I can never remember which spelling is which for my dad & my bro/her son. And she named him!
I mean demographically speaking it makes sense. Older, yet still not *boomer* old - Maybe in their 40s, 50s? It peaked in the 1950s, but that peak kept going particularly among white men up until the 1970s. So, of course, you're going to see a lot of white Alans in their 40s and 50s
