There was a great reality series on british tv that had a family living in an Edwardian country house. Life was harsh for almost everyone, especially the servants, and the women. But the man of the house, the Lord of the Manor, loved it. LOVED it. I feel this is where we're at now.

I prefer being a progressive. It’s slightly more open-minded. It’s basically the same thing only without unfettered capitalism. We need some democratic socialism to abolish the oligarchy.

I searched this and discovered that Ron Howard didn't write this. Someone else posted it saying he wrote it, not realizing it would go viral. I love the message though.

I agree w/ the spirit of your comment but the truth is cons don't believe anything. Facts aren't important to them & they are entirely motivated by their negative emotions. They are racist b/c they are fearful. They hate taxes b/c they are racist. They attribute laziness to others never themselves.

I’m antireligion for these very reasons. If you weaponize it it’s a threat and enough is enough. Our founding fathers were clear this was not a religious state. And the ones that exist are horrible.
Separate from government or outlaw it. There persecution complex is a cover for religious war.
None of this is possible under capitalism, a system that will always seek to destroy any kind of collective benefits that go to the people instead shareholders.
That is not at all what I am hearing and seeing. More and more people being thrust into poverty as cost of living skyrockets while all your public institutions like healthcare are being destroyed or sold off.
