I've read all of it. It instructs states to have a process for people whose legal name doesn’t match their birth certificate to provide additional documents. Concerns are for people who have changed their names and the difficulty when registering because of which documents are considered acceptable.

I applied to RENEW my passport on March 6 and paid $130. I received it 6 business days later. My husband, a US Veteran, applied for renewal on March 15th. He has yet to receive. It is in process but the process is taking longer. So please do not delay!

FYI ... You can renew an expired passport online as long as to has not been more than 15 years since the date it was issued. After that, you have to go through the regular process again.

Passport cards are less expensive than books. Adults are $65 and minors are $50, including the fees. They have limited use but do prove citizenship. I think setting up a fund is a great idea. Maybe thru local Democratic party chapters.
