I think critical thinking skills are pretty important regardless of the context. If it's not instinctual to you then, when your emotions are being manipulated for some nefarious purpose, you may not stop to think if the whole thing is a fake.
Being condescending to people won't help them recognize AI any better. You got to learn the tells before someone else, but they doesn't make you smarter than them.
Pixels? It's unlikely the OP hand made these. Their posts aren't food related. When you Google lens this it shows zillions of similar AI generated content.
yeah, it's interesting. there are definitely things very similar to this https://www.instagram.com/p/DAe1Sihxbnd/ but the herbs for the mouth are a little off, i agree.
Add pineapple to make it even more scary but beware that if you serve that to an italian you will be sent onto the kill on sight list of the italian mafia
Exactly. I have no problem with AI presnting an achievable goal, the same way I have never complained that my burger at ANY fast food restaurant didn't resemble the non-AI pictures on the menu board.
They are aspirations rather than expectations.
Unregulated genai use is incredibly harmful. There's plenty of ai use outside of the "creative" sphere that is inspired and helpful to the human race, such as the ai that can predict cancer cells via scans, it's already incredibly successful but doesn't have full application yet.
FYI. Beside likely AI, as a former food photographer it would be impossible to melt the cheese, maintain the shape and have it be edible using an oven.
If this photo is real the cheese would have been styled and melted with a handheld steamer until glossy.
The thing that bothers me about AI is not knowing if it's real or not anymore. I feel disclaimers should somehow be noted. Or an insignia. It's mostly taken the joy and amazment out of nature and animal photos for myself in many ways.
Yup I agree even when looking for photos on google now its over run with AI. I try to follow known Photographers now instead of using search engines. We got to support real artists now more than ever!
Unfortunately, it keeps you tied to known & trusted sources, which isn't necessarily bad, but it certainly inhibits the exploration of newer sources. AI could have magnificent potential if used properly, I'm a bit of a cynic at my age and life experience, though. I see what they are already doing.
I'm shaking my head over the need for anyone to point out that this is (or isn't) an AI picture. Real or not, it's a cool Halloween food idea. Go rain on someone else's parade.
The teeth are piped around the edges.
I think it’s more likely foodphotoai sort of mixed up its sources and included some cake decoration, OR that is the world’s finest-blended pesto which I am not claiming is impossible.
The cutting board also takes an odd curve and disappears
That's all fine. If it was real then that is a lot of fussy cutting unless someone made a cutter or jig. It's a great idea. Ima gonna try it and see how it turns out. Cheese choice is going to be important so it doesn't flow everywhere.
Tag me if you do! I was puzzling over the cheese — there is no mark of shred or sliced ball, so for that surface it may have been a relatively large log shaped into skull and then sliced (or sliced and then shaped skull).
Otherwise I don’t see how there would be such a smooth, uninterrupted surface.

In this case, the dead giveaway is the two olive rings clipping into each other in the centre of the image.

Me gusta!
With a google image search you can find the image the AI has used and steal it easily.
And now I know what I'm going to attempt for dinner.
Nice

those look really tasty I want
Very cool
In any case, I can make these. With pineapple, of course.
