Christians demanding I admit Christ is love...I'm not Christian! I don't believe Christ was divine! I don't even believe he was especially insightful! I don't believe we necessarily even know much about him or his teaching!

proselytizing is so fucking annoying, and quite frankly, rude as hell. i've met some that can't take a damn hint in person, but online they are fully something else entirely. :/
which, I appreciate people wanting to make christianity better, but...again the doctrinal arguments just aren't my problem and I don't want people to make them my problem.
well, this is something of the concern. I'm all for Christians saying, "we want to make our community better." but if the formulation is, "any bad thing is just a deviance from real christianity"...where's the need to confront or improve?
Like, *people who are not christian don't believe in christianity." It's really presumptuous and kind of offensive to demand that non christians assent to propositions like, "the core of christianity is love."
I mean it’s pretty easy to object to “the core of Christianity is love” on just empirical grounds if you have a base knowledge of history and just…look around at the world.

Obviously the evidence for what he said/stood for/thought is a lot more contested.
