in case you’re wondering what the deal is, this lady was a health care executive and lobbyist for three decades who interned on ways and means and served as a legislative assistant in the house for 4 years. you know, typical undecided student voter.
I understand the people who don’t follow politics or the news at all making a late decision. Spending a year going back and forth with the NYT as an “undecided voter” who is politically engaged is narcissism plain and simple
{continued} whose career started w/ an internship on the Ways and Means Committee followed by more than 30 years in government relations, including serving as a Government Relations Officer for two of the nation’s largest and most prominent health systems,
I believe a correction is called for.
Worked in nonprofit healthcare & CEO had LPN license but it was largely about corporate climbing in that environment. Not sure if that applies here but
it took a lot of work to get this information, i had to google her name, location, and “nursing student” and then there were like ten results for her, most of which were corporate executive profiles. took at least 30 seconds.
My god man! Take the rest of the day off after that herculean effort. I assume you had a whole research department living in your house to accomplish this task!
How is a poor underfunded little newsroom supposed to accomplish something that labor intensive?
Yeah I also was curious and figured out who she was from the last time she popped up. Super weird they can't do the minimum of due diligence. Wonder why.
the criticisms of the NYT's political ideology and agenda-setting can sometimes crowd out discussion of how a lot of their journalism is just objectively terrible at basic fact-finding. They have a good investigative piece now and then but I can't imagine relying on them to tell me the actual news
Enough stuff like this has convinced that when they do vox pops with undecided/Trump leaning voters with the most nonsensical-seeming motivations, a lot of them are just lying

The "professional" Republicans (FBI agents, middle-managers, Liz Cheneys) are all done with him and have been for years.
Only the most addle-brained clowns (Gaetz; Jordan) or desperate weasels (Rubio) are still openly on board.
