Y’all would not survive the 90s, when 3 episodes cost you $50 (adjusted for inflation) and you were lucky if the show actually got finished, or the 2000s when the switch to digital animation created the worst run of shows for nearly a decade.

I think the biggest let down atm is the crash in quality, rushed EPs and the overwhelming amount of Yuri specifically! that doesn't make a 2nd season
North American anime distributors were comically greedy back in the 90s and 2000s

I remember the VHS releases of Digimon got up to vol 5, ep 15 ended on a cliffhanger, then volume 6 skipped right to the second series.

at least they'd largely fixed the animation shit by the time 00 came around
