The Constitution requires the president to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” not to “take what he can get away with until someone stops him.”

Does the Constitution also require Congress to impeach a lawless President? This is on the whole Republican party who enable and are complicit with Trump.
There should be some sense of shock if Trump does defy. Talking about it constantly is normalizing it. The people in relevant branches of government who are thinking about their duites and options are doing so quietly. For the rest of us, the program will probably be outdoors.
SCOTUS has created its own Frankenstein- made him a King, gave him an Elliott Ness Untouchable status, extended him an unleashing power that will soon diminish, disintegrate, & devalue your role in American culture. MAGA's already at odds w/Amy Coney Barrett. SCOTUS men, sorry but, show some balls!
One point to consider is that because 47 is a criminal and only negotiates in bad faith, he believes that is how everyone else operates. Thus pursuing Canada, law firms, etc. A crook remains a crook.
Well, Barb, it appears that we’ve long arrived at that point. Yes, he should have been arrested and indicted on the day of attempted coup. He’s out of control! Congress, the Senate, and the Courts need to stop him and do their damn jobs!!
Trump ignores the courts, ignores Congressional spending mandates… if all the power is in the executive, then it’s basically a dictatorship. He’s placing loyalists in the FBI and military too. Who’s going to stop him? Democrats with signs?
Were not there yet ....but were getting closer to that day when Trump goes full dictator through Presidential emergency declaration ....he will get the population to go into civil unrest by crashing the economy and when he does he will declare martial law and use the military on civilians
Then throw him in jail if he defies the courts!😡 That's what would happen to any one of us if we did the same. He should've been in jail a LONG time ago anyway
The problem is enforcing judicial decisions! In any democratic nation, it goes on automatically but when SCOTUS gives the executive power a broad immunity of action, then it becomes a real headache!
…and another thing. Just as the war in Ukraine would end tomorrow if Putin walked away, so would this disastrous Presidency if the two sides of the aisle came together and said enough is enough. Boot. Him. Out.
From what we saw at that obnoxious "Address" speech, everyone on the GOP side was completely kissing his ass, or pretending to, or whatever. It must've been the same scene when Hitler gave a speech at his election. Everyone there was too evil, or too afraid of him to resist.😡🤬🚫
He won’t back down. It’s not in him. He would never allow himself to suffer humiliation. We have put a sociopathic criminal in the White House and while some blame Democrats and their response, it’s the Republicans who have the power to stop him.

Not much wiggle room in that and no room at all for the Constitution, Congress or the courts.
We must:
Name it,
Call it out in every response on every issue,
and
Respond forcefully,
Or lose our republic and our sovereignty.
Exactly. We should all be terrified right now😳
