There are numerous stupid reasons why long before the assassination attempt his followers truly believed to their core that Trump is “tough” but it just occurred to me nobody has the power to force him to demonstrate doing a single pushup.

“Trump believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted. So he didn’t work out. When he learned that one of his top casino executives, was training for an Ironman triathlon, he admonished him, ‘You are going to die young because of this.’l
If someone has the stomach for it, they might challenge him to do a strip on camera. Perhaps accompanied by a new song called "You can leave your hair on".
I’d be willing to throw my hat into that ring, he has a face I could never tire of punching. I’m British, disabled and queer, so I tick a lot of his “not really a person” boxes too 🤣
We already had Trump and Biden bickering over who has the better golf gang. And Zuckerberg fighting/not fighting Musk. Macho showdowns are stupid when bigger things are at stake.
Trump should be handed a spear by the MAGA tribe and told that he must hunt and kill the grizzly and bring back a trophy before he is recognized as man and ascends to full membership.
One of the most fascinating things about Trump(ism) is how much his supporters seem to imbue him with virtues he doesn't have solely based on a twisted perspective and 'vibes'
The way I've seen this manifest recently is that they'll post AI-generated images of Trump being lively and hyper masculine because photos of him like that don't exist.
My understanding of the use of the word “charisma” has been severely challenged by the way people use it in context to Trump. The dictionary seems to support a basic form of this use, but it flies in the face of typical usage from my life experiences.
I'm interested specifically in political charisma; how people define & respond to other forms of charisma will likely vary w the conditions surrounding those other forms.
Given that I find him repellent and thus can't directly identify those characteristics that might make him politically charismatic, I can only look at the ways people respond to Trump; those responses indicate, to me, a charismatic politician.
I still believe that the assassination attempt against Trump was fake. A high velocity bullet fired from an assault rifle would have ripped at least his entire ear off. And security made by far too many mistakes!

The man had trouble figuring out how to link arms with other leaders.

Dems should really listen to me

I do think charisma is polarizing: you either turn people on or off, w the stronger the charisma the bigger the reaction in both directions.
He’s got that thing that used car salesmen/grifters/scam artists have.
& as PT Barnum said, you can fool all of the people some of the time, & some of the people all of the time.
But yeah, part of me wants it to happen.
His faux masculinity is the biggest part of his appeal, but it is a thin vineer.
He escalates every conflict, which makes him an "alpha" in simpleminded honor culture, but is weak and lazy in every other way
