Isn't there a whole jargon in Paris based on saying North African words *backwards*? French actually rather impresses me with its Borg-like assimilations.
You can just imagine all those Gauls in first two centuries AD complaining about Latin loan words, which now comprise the entirety of the French language.
It's the same in Germany but we call a smartphone a "handy" and working from home is having a "home office". No, not the one for the whole country, just for yourself. I can't read a German magazine anymore without seeing "Denglish" everywhere.
