This is a superb resource. Beyond Tarkovsky, it's well worth exploring. Given people's wariness of all things Russian right now, it's worth noting the 'We stand with Ukraine' logo. This isn't some Putinesque initiative. https://sovietmoviesonline.com/?s=tarkovsky
Wow, this is amazing because for decades the only way to see Tarkovsky's films was at the Harvard Film Archive (or a similar venue) or on the excellent but hard to find Ruscico DVDs, many of which went out of print not long after they were issued. Good news for fans of Tarkovsky's vision and depth.
I watched Stalkers for a Russian film class in college decades ago, and it was excellent. Don't know if I retain the patience/attention span to rewatch it.
Actually of Soviet cinema the one I recommend the most is Come and See is a 1985 Soviet anti-war film directed by Elem Klimov, it's harrowing but fully shows the horrors of the German invasion of Russia and how ugly humans can be over boarders
Yes I did because though Solaris is a good movie mainly about loss it's not as good as come and see which is based on reality not Sci Fi metaphors and in the current political climate Come and See is far more relevant as is High-Rise, City of Life And Death and The Devils

Says more in its scenes of quiet than most of today's flashy nonsense.
