13/ The Louisiana department of corrections declined multiple interview requests and did not respond to questions about the state’s use of the risk tool. The Landry administration also did not respond to requests for comment.

I've read a number of articles on the prison system in Louisiana over the years. The picture they paint would make the term "America's Gulag System" an understatement.
The criteria they use automatically puts people from underrepresented classes at a HUGE disadvantage. AI is a megaphone, and with how systemically biased we KNOW the justice system to be, this is a super racist megaphone.
Bluesky keeps banning my pages for promoting workplace disruption! This is an important tool for fighting fascism that we're are not utilizing. Please visit my page. I'm not selling anything. I have list of ideas as well as trying to promote my profile pic as much as possible. There's more we can do
Again, cruelty is the point. Enough US voters have chosen leaders who have promised cruelty, aggression toward perceived enemies, and the elevation of those loyal to a part white nationalist or part hero cult which has promised to uphold a “might makes right” motivation.
Citizens who do not worship DJT/EM/JDV or believe in fascist rule by White Nationalist, need to make their voices & votes direct our Representatives, Senators, & local leaders to #RESIST & callout injustice & intolerance. Thank you @ProPublica for reporting these stories.
Why can’t I find the crime this guy committed written down anywhere in the entire article???this is the problem w/ modern journalism. It’s all written as persuasive pieces rather than informative. It sounds like he’s been wronged. But without know what he actually did, I can’t truly decide.
Further, the article suggests blacks are overrepresented in Louisiana prisons, comprising 60% of the prison population despite only being 30% of the state population. Yet it ignores that 80% of the violent crime in Louisiana is committed by blacks, which suggests they’re actually underrepresented
Prison rates should be relatively similar to violent crime statistics. Suggesting prison rates should reflect population demographics is embarrassingly stupid (and racist). I would have to say I, with a perfect SAT score, who got a full scholarship to law school is better at critical thinking than u
Which is further evidenced by the fact that you didn’t even attempt to debate the multiple facts I cited, and instead tried to insult me because you’re uncomfortable with what is without a doubt a sad reality. I support civil rights vehemently. But I believe in equal opportunity, not outcome.
You’re suggesting people should be punished based on their skin color rather than the crime they committed. And while I believe you’re coming from a well intentioned place, your ignorance gets innocent people killed, and in fact makes life even harder on law abiding black people.

this is the utter stupidity of this law. it’s a lesson in how to create a self-fulfilling prophecy.
