@thewashingtonpost.bsky.social as kitty litter. My cat's shit and piss are too good gor this pathetic, fascist rag.
I am 'not' going back.
The prior slogan, “Democracy dies in darkness” was popularized by Bob Woodward beginning in 2007, and was adopted as their official slogan in 2017.
Woodward, of course, along with Carl Bernstein (also a Post reporter) was instrumental in exposing the Watergate coverup.
…
Now, some 50 years later, the owners of the Post are willingly and firmly entrenched among the President’s men.
TODAY Katharine Graham spins in her grave
Call me "Disgusted" (with Jeff Bezos and WaPo).
But I think ‘Greek Tragedy’ better captures this sad endeavor.
What they’re writing are stories.
Because it sure isn’t journalism.
How about telling the truth.
I know, I know 🙄, the truth has a Liberal bias.
“As journalists lugging file boxes brushed past him, Bezos raised his offer to a one-year membership in Amazon Prime.
“You people need to get over a free press,” he barked at a Pulitzer winner. “I’m offering free shipping.””
With so much talent, can they just go and create their own thing ?
#oligarchy
Just the news.
If Bezos-Musk-Zuckerberg-Soon Seong- who possess a lot of our information system, are allowed to succeed with their new model, just imagine what other companies will do. They must fail spectacularly. Americans must say no to oligarchs.
Nowadays, it’s “all that which can be fashioned into news.”
Also news folks- I'll decide how i feel about a piece, i don't need you to tell me how to feel about it
