The two most important factors to successfully seeing the birds you want to see are 1. Complaining and 2. Persistency*
I've been whining about not seeing one of these little Nuthatches this year and the snow has spontaneously produced some for me. So Cool! 😂 #birds
*in complaining.

We are not seeing Mourning Doves here. First winter in over thirty years.
Are you folks seeing them on your adventures?
Take care of the feeders at least twice a day. (we have lots of birds) Still no doves. Coopers are starting to look forlorn.
Now I know I’m on the right track with the whole complaining thing
(I need to keep complaining)
Kelly are you in? The nuthatches are not too far away, I can feel it
Now if complaining worked, surely I’d have seen a pelican by now. They’ve been photographed in my city twice in the last 5 years… once was in my park 😩
At least I was greeted with a big raft of goldeneyes this morning. Such beautiful creatures. They were displaying, too… adorkable things. Brrrr-beep! And that funny sound they make afterwards, like a fingernail dragged over the teeth of a comb.
But it also could be lighting.
