In all seriousness, I just had to pull this out for my daughter today. Part of a letter my dad sent me the summer after I graduated from college when I was getting all sorts of rejection letters for teacher applications. I couldn't even get an interview! Took me 3 years to get a FT teaching job.

All I've ever wanted since I was a little girl was being able to be known by just my first name, like Cher or Madonna, or Blondie(which made me heart broken when I found out her name was Debby😂) I like to pretend I did accomplish my goal. And, as usual, my bar was set real low for this.😁
