The first one I had was like a mish mash of parts my dad took from his work. The first one I bought myself was a Dell E521. It had all kinds of nasty plastic covers inside to keep people from modifying it. Really pissed me off but it ran well for quite a long time. Was running when I got rid of it.

"Early 2000s" babies are mostly all in their 20s now. I was born in '98. I was on the internet playing "kidpix" and "webkinz" by 6. That was my first computer.

My first PC was a 38-pound Compaq "luggable" with two floppy disk drives and a 9" screen.

Yeah I was thrilled to leave DOS behind and boot up the smilin' face of a 512k Mac in 1985.
