I am going to remember and repeat that.
the American Dream is a rotting corpse, and they wanna slap a fresh coat of white leaded paint over the body instead.
great writing as always :)
1. It is very tall.
2. Yamaha's headquarters is in Hamamatsu, so everything is music-themed in an endearingly tacky way.
3. My hotel room had a Dyson hair dryer.
I’ll stick with my 2006 Honda Element, thank you. Luxury for $6000. That’s all I need.
Screw $100,000 SUVs.
The last few months have made me grateful that I get to help trans folks, especially kids, get the care they deserve
A lot of the professionals I speak with have been in this field since the '80s and are prepared for a hostile government
One day we might own those Banks of Marble, but until then we can only start to deny the little lies as you say, in the hopes the big lie fucks off.
May things get better. May Sporty Luxury SUV not be the thing anymore.
I've never been one that thinks I'm owed anything. I like nice things, but do not crave/convet them. So much to discuss, but it requires vino and in person chat. Thanks for this.
I wish you well. Stay safe
This nailed how auto journalism has felt to me and I don't even get to test drive Luxury Sports SUV. The enthusiast that these marketing teams target isnt any enthusiast I know.
(I started to type out a long response here that would have been about 5 or 6 posts at least, then decided not to do that.)
I hope that you and your wife are able to love and thrive!
The entirety of the piece was breath-taking, but I needed to highlight this part specifically, cause goddamn, yeah
Also I sincerely hope things get better for trans people before they get any worse.
Thank you, me too, I’m pretty scared.
The Edge was $10k more and 1000 lbs heavier than the Fusion, and all you get in return is 10 inches of height that gives the *perception* of safety.
Automotive journalism too often looks at automobiles within their own "walled syntax" to put it one way. Nobody says how absurd it is that we put 6,000lbs.+ of material in motion to move a single human.
As always, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for writing. 💜
Stay safe. Run to the antipodes if you need to. You do good work.
I have no idea how publishing works so maybe this is absurd, but had you tried pitching to Defector? Feels like their kind of thing, idk
Lentils can and will feed more people than fancy ass sirloin steaks ever could.
empathy really is the best human trait. I loved that whole paragraph especially
My wife & I are gay.Just from your article,I can say that YOU made a great impact on 2 people today, myself & my wife. That also means that we will remember you & NO AMOUNT OF "ERASURE" could ever change that.Thank you.
