I want to play balatro so bad, its been so long since ive become fully obsessed with a game and am getting huge fomo from being who seem to be connecting with it so deeply, but ive never played poker in my life and know very little about card games. is it beginner friendly?
Balatro isn't really a poker game. It's a poker themed deckbuilder roguelike. If you like games like that and are okay with roguelike learning curves, you will like balatro. There are valid builds where you can win and completely not know what the poker hands are
I feel bad replying since this was at 69 replies. If I ever find myself thinking "Maybe the internet was a mistake." These are the moments where I conclude "Huh. OK, we'll try this experiment for another year then."
