as one who has watched all three in broadcast time, not streaming or binging from start to finish, so no complete watch of any of them, but enough to get a good sense, i concur with Captain Shaw/Theodore Deacon. 12 Monkeys holds its own in the genre.
and it would amazing to have Scott, Todd and Jerry in a room to hash out the best time travelling show of all time. they have to defend their show in their Star Trek character.
This is by far my favorite sci-fi show because it was so incredibly well done. They didn’t stretch it into more seasons than they needed to tell the story, and the story wrapped up nicely.
Oh man - my wife and I are looking for a new series to start and I’m pleased that I know absolutely nothing about this one, other than names that crossed streams with Trek. I’m going to find it and dive in!
I loved the movie so much that, at the time, I just wrote this off as an uninspired cash grab(I think Hollywood was going remake crazy when this came out). I guess I may need to reconsider.
Yes! Loved Dark and have watched it twice both with English subtitles. Very good. But 12 Monkeys is just another level of character development, writing and storytelling. Have rewatched 12 M half a dozen times and just blown away each time.
Watched this at the beginning of Covid and it was such a great and fun binge. Some weak moments for sure but overwhelmingly strong engaging plotlines throughout!
It's been 10 years 😳 Such a great show. I'm good with being the only one here that watches, time travel shows with the g/f is a uphill battle but #12Monkeys hit the mark so much better then other time travel shows.

Just buy it as digital on Amazon, it's definitely a show you will want to watch twice. I think Hulu removed it. IMDB will also tell you where to find shows underneath the show's star rating, but in this case it only says Amazon.
I didn't discover this show until after Picard S3 when people kept mentioning it because of you and Terry. So glad I did, it truly elevates the source material and is an amazing show. And its the reason I now think of this show and not the Breakfast Club whenever Simple Minds hits the radio!

Perhaps when I have, I will return pleasantly surprised. Overall I'm just saying, it's a big claim.

Best I can find is buying the complete series on blu-ray
