Employees in the programs will be placed on paid administrative leave. Agencies have the next few days to submit reports on how they are complying with the orders, including plans to fire them.

Trump is taking away livelihood from people who are apparently doing well in their jobs because they still have the jobs. Forcing agencies to spend money finding and training someone new. Because of his temper tantrum. He is small, weak, and pathetic.
Sounds like their plan is to eliminate all of these employees by Jan 31. The agency I work for has a small office devoted to this with just a few employees. I'd imagine most others are the same. This is just trolling not any plan to save lots of money
Ha ha, the plan is not to eliminate these employees by January 31. The demand is to have the various agencies submit a plan by January 31 explaining how they will eliminate the jobs. Doing so will have to be compliant with the law and union contracts and may take many months to years.
If a “DEI hire” is what we call someone who is incompetent, why have I never seen a white cis-hetero male labeled as a “DEI hire”, no matter how incompetent they might be?
This is so incredibly sad. As a former VA employee I’ve seen first hand how beneficial diversity programs can be. The LGBT clinic at my old VA hospital helped vets in so many ways heal and become who they always were. This is cruelty for the sake of cruelty.
It’s insane that half of Americans wanted this troll in office to enact his vulgar and tactless policies. Are they so filled with hate and vindictiveness that this makes them feel better?

To be clear, I am not talking about the working poor who are truly struggling but the middle class people I personally hear crying broke while paying a $1k monthly payment on the fancy pickup truck in their driveway.

- Research products & companies BEFORE you buy from them.
Seek out minorities for EVERY purchase moving forward!
I believe they are not looking to get rid of people that may have been hired via DEI - they are looking to close the group that administers and 'enforces' DEI initiatives.
That would make sense. Speaking as a bureaucrat, contributing to inclusivity programs may be a small part of someone's larger job as a policy analyst, etc. That's where this will get complicated.
Because the only DEI Trump wants among federal staff are his DEI ("didn't earn it") hires, like the predominantly White, entitled, and incompetent (WEI) men he appointed to his cabinet...
I choose not to support companies that have dismissed DEI. Generally, they are the very companies that require the most diversity in employees. They are also the companies that discriminate with wages and benefits.

It's a waste of taxpayers dollars and the government will not have enough workers IF they can even determine who is DEI, which is highly improbable. I'd be suing.
