... There's been a "national outcry" over healthcare since at least the 90s. This isn't new. People are pissed they have to waste their paycheck on insurance that changes what it actually covers and refuses to cover even life saving procedures.
Tbf, there’s been a national outcry over the health care industry for yearssssss. It’s just the companies themselves that are scared now. As they should’ve been all this time with their disposable practices.
To be fair, they HAVE been covering it, and quite in-depth, as a matter of fact. The problem is that nobody in power seems to care. Now, people like Luigi are starting to make them care.
Andrew Witty, UnitedHealth Group's CEO, told investors last week that his company's mission "is to improve this system for billionaires and help them live healthier lives." There. I fixed it!
Just your daily reminder that CEOs have no skill sets worth billions of dollars.
The executives have just used their position of power to steal from their employees and the working class, while the working class made them billions. The CEOs then rewarded them for their work by cutting their jobs.
Um honestly I don’t think anyone has forgotten about #luigimangione fuck that CEO the rest of them should stop with the shady trading with #unconstitutional bs like we don’t know what’s been happening for years the people will not stand for it
I wasn't offended. More like I know that killing is wrong. Still... sometimes it's a dirty job but someone has to do it. Much like having to kill off Nazis, for example.
I only have health insurance for emergencies. The majority of my healthcare i receive now from practitioners outside of the insurance industry. It is so freeing to have physicians and advocates for my health not for the profit of the industry.
That’s great. Some of us need health care within the system. we have health issues that cannot be treated by other means. My doctors are my advocates. They are on the phone with insurance when they deny. I get the care I need through self advocacy and having great practitioners.
Awesome you could get it to work. I spent way too much time of my life trying to find doctors that understand an adult can be extremely active and what that means for the body. Other than i need to sit around and only walk gently for exercise. Some people this works. Others not.
Then we saw that this monster could not die, no person there even given the ability to stop the machine. Even if a member was lost it kept rolling on suffering and destruction in its wake.
Whether you're a cog in the machine or have your hands on the controls, do you ever stop to wonder if your work is a benefit to society? How about when your leader is murdered for successfully executing the corporate charter and everyone cheers?

Asking for a newly promoted executive.
I would've asked for one...
Although they treat patients as if they’re disposable so…
