This is *amazing* work by 🇷🇴 CFR - it can find me a route and a price for Tulcea Oraș 🇷🇴 through 🇭🇺🇦🇹 to Rendsburg 🇩🇪 (5 changes, 2936km)
SNCF meanwhile - despite 🇫🇷 having a border with 🇩🇪 - can give me neither a route nor a price for Strasbourg 🇫🇷 - Mainz Hbf 🇩🇪 (1 change, 213km)

I do take a picture almost every time I go over bc it’s still fascinating to me :)
To get back they asked him to where, and he mumbled Bern Bümpliz. The ticket agent then asked Bümpliz Nord or Bümpliz Süd…

There are many great things about travelling by train in FR.
Sncf connect is definitely NOT one of them
:)
🇷🇴 CFR - kicks your asses at international booking
🇨🇿 Správa železnic - has a miles better system for sorting out connections than France does
🇵🇱 PKP IC - has better dining cars than SNCF
🇭🇺 MÁV - has a better system for conveying bikes than France
Also the first Alstom trains now arrived in Romania.
I put in Tulcea because I am going there in June, and Rendsburg because it has an amazing bridge and I like the place!
