Since I suppose it's unfair to say all this without then venturing a choice, for a sci-fi character, I'd send Vir Cotto. Delenn has the Big Good problem and late-season G'Kar would know to refuse the thing (and early-season G'Kar be corrupted by it).
Vir accepts power only as a burden. /end

Vir understood that offers like that don't come without strings attached.

Season 5 is also rough, but more because they got un-canceled at the last minute, so they'd wrapped up several major plot lines.
Whether or not they wanted it when they got it, though...
Leia wants to make the galaxy better for everyone, Luke always felt like he should be out there doing something else, but I feel like Han mainly always just wanted to be able to keep what he had?
(Otherwise you get into a conversation of if Droids would even be able to be corrupted by the Ring)
Even in his novels, I feel like he only wants the Falcon and space?
I think it's easier to identify a character wise enough not to take it than one who'd take it and resist.
