The US is intending to remove the "X" for gender on passports. I have non-binary friends and don't see why they have to pick an option that makes no sense, or how "X" harms other people. So I commented on the Federal Register.

If it was, we would all walk around with blindfolds on to appease the blind...

I was born visibly intersex, though.

Give me YOUR OWN words please.
The one I said though, CAIS. Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.
Person is female at birth. Raised girl. Usually infertile. Can't process androgens/testosterone. Has XY DNA
I'm not trying to get into an argument with anyone, I'm just trying to figure this out in my own 60 something brain.
Hopefully I can show how things impact real people.
Why do people want to complicate everything that is straight forward and if you are one of those that disagree then you have a problem and not the rest of the world.

Degendering / removing sex from passport etc should be a win win. No one has a label forced onto them and the bigots will never have to know about what is none of their business anyway.
However, it does say "sex" and not "gender."
Might be a battle for another day.
I noticed it also has 'place of birth' on it. Really no idea how that helps passport control 🤔
Pasty-man.
Betacuck soldier
Just some spitball ideas
And you ignore the existence of intersex people completely.
Also, when you state beliefs like this, you forfeit the right to be upset and emotional when people compare your party to Nazis.

We appreciate your advocacy.

a nonbinary
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a DEI hire
Then they came for the federal employees etc etc...
We all know how this ends.
Othering is autocracy 101: divide and conquer.
If “adults should not be playing make believe”, as you say, why are you pretending to understand the issue you’re talking about?
It does apparently trigger culture warrior yahoos who have never heard of the 11th commandment:
Mind your own f***ing business.
Get a fucking life, mate
Men and women are different build. To neglect this, would be to go back to a misogynistic logic, where women just have to fit into a mens world.
But out of curiosity, someone born with chromosomes that are not simply XX or Xy, what do you call them?
Sorry you lack enough empathy to understand the situation.
And again, out of curiosity, what should someone with XXyy chromosomes put in their passport?
But it is a great example of why we listen to medical professionals consensus on these topics and not uneducated right wing keyboard warriors.

Constantly fixating on the very few "anti-trans" people in the room, sort of makes them seem more important and impactful than they really are.
And let's be realistic, DNA analysis etc. is going to be more reliable than presence of a putative gender in a document.
It's for customs and visas etc, and having biological gender doesn't help at all with that.
for your last 20 income tax filings.

Why don’t you do a little research and educate yourself?
Did you not even know that the vast majority of intersex people are either clearly biologically male or female, depending upon which condition they have?
Would you like me to run through the conditions, 1 by 1 with you?
I am happy to do so, but honestly you may find more benefit educating yourself on the subject. Let me know if you want me to.
Best solution is to just remove it entirely, IMO.
