It's Black Friday, which is a big day for the big boys SO if you're a small or indie Irish retailer, bookseller, printmaker, craftperson (etc, etc) doing cool shit, please reply to this and lets share 'em as good as we can.

I’ve just found @ciaraioch.bsky.social here on blooski - she’s a fantastic artist and surely belongs on this list (plus she detests Black Friday, which is only right).
Check out her stuff - bet you anything you find something you like. Those Christmas cards are verrrry tempting…
Hi Séamas! I'm the author of 'Filthy Queens: A History of Beer in Ireland' with indie Irish publisher Nine Bean Rows who is running a sale for Black Friday on their books. They publish recipe books, Irish food and drinks history, and about food & drinks from around the world. https://ninebeanrowsbooks.com/
Hi Séamas! I'm an Irish cartoonist making Zines about Ulster (mostly about my Protestant ignorance of Irish history...) https://ulster.visualthinkery.com/
GRMA! :)
Are you equating Ulster with Northern Ireland in all of this? Is that not really annoying for people from, say, Donegal, for example? (friendly discussion preferred, we don't have to agree, but I won't start hurling insults).
Regardless of what I think, Ulster seems to have 9 counties of which Donegal is one of my favourites. As a kid I never really understood why that was equated to NI. Probably because NI takes too long to shout… :)
Lost story from Bram Stoker, foreword by Roddy Doyle, amazing original artwork by Paul McKinley, fantastic essay from Stoker Biographer Paul Murray AND all funds go to research on preventable hearing loss in babies. Also, McKinleys prints=perfect present👉https://rotundafoundation.ie/gibbet-hill/
Hi Séamas, Little Island Books is Ireland’s award-winning independent publisher of books for children and teens, and today we’ve a load of discounts on brilliant gifts for kids this Christmas: https://littleisland.ie
Hi Séamas, I work for @halfwayupbooks.bsky.social - an independent children’s bookshop in Greystones. We can’t compete on discounts but we have tons of expertise and enthusiasm to share! Christmas is incomplete without some brilliant new books, we’re here to help!
I make stuff! All sorts. Prints, stickers, patches, originals, and more. All created by me and perfect for gift-giving https://artnessbyjustinbrown.com/store
Happy Black Sunday (pls humour me) – I hand-make stoneware pottery in a tiny studio in Homerton. It's lovely stuff but the algorithm has turned on me this year so a boost would mean the world! https://www.instagram.com/saltwater.stoneware/
Hello from Co Down! This is my website if any of your lovely UK followers would like a book from an indie bookshop. (Damn those expensive cross-border postage rates 😭) https://bridgebooksdromore.co.uk/
I’ve done some work with Shuttle Knit, they’re a social enterprise, women from the Travelling community who make beautiful knitwear - a share of their stuff would be great as they’ve no budget for ads etc. thanks! https://shuttleknit.ie 😊
My friends Ma was the only person I knew who had the genuine 'tinkers' - passed down Traveller heritage of metalworking - call every year to fix buckets etc - it's a shame that the State erased their history as colonisers did with aboriginals and native Americans etc
You're a star. While I'm still hoping to finish some original paintings before what's been a difficult end of year finishes, I do have hundreds of my paintings available printed on all sorts of things - even paper: https://www.redbubble.com/people/eolai/shop
Just waiting for my site migration to complete on @mneylon.social Blacknight (green hosting) after which there are a PLETHORA of super #ecofriendly retailers on there to purchase cool #,gifts from 🙏💫🦋
Ps I plan to move all my clients to #Blacknight as the SSL , WP hosting is better plus love that you guys are 1 of only 2 #green #hosting companies in #Irelanc
The theme was nostalgia so toys were the fire thing I thought of.
There’s a big yellow teapot in my in-laws but not a Fraggle in sight. Might root around my parents attic and see what I can reclaim.
I am a big fan of nostalgic toys. I have fraggles, muppets, sesame st, and wombles with my teapot. They brighten up my office space. You were on spot on with what you included there. I am still waiting on my mother to buy me a Mr Frostie 😂. Reclaim that tea pot.
It's the single most impactful piece of work I've done.
To the extent that more than once while walking a comic convention, someone has shouted at "YOURE THE SEXY TAYTO MAN GUY" to the confusion of everyone around.
I sell Catholic and Protestant trading cards which are mildly amusing and also premier league cards which, based on sales numbers, aren’t amusing at all.
Thanks Seamus! I make skulls and models of Dinosaurs and other extinct animals and sell them at https://www.scaledbeast.com. I currently have a discount code 'DUBH' for 15% off all orders!
We're a small business in Clonmel. We have a membership for people who'd love to learn more about Irish archaeology or explore some of our incredible historic landscapes – with articles, itineraries, courses, talks & tours!

(Just gonna scooooch in here) I've art prints, gift cards and value bundles at https://www.ciaraioch.com - each archival-quality print on textured paper is made in Ireland, shipped in eco-friendly packaging with discount tracked postage available, and comes with free gifts. (Thanks for doing this, Séamas!)
Browsing your shop right now & ordering something else, but wanted to say that your This Too Shall Pass print is lovely and brought an instant tear to my eye.
Well, multiple tears actually. I'm in my parents kitchen right now, it's coming up to my mother's anniversary so maybe a bit prone to that.
I’m a writer and indie developer of tabletop roleplaying games - today, if you buy the Irish mythology-inspired game I wrote, all the proceeds go directly to me! https://clickgate.itch.io/ruin-and-restoration
I’m a new Irish author who is trying to sell their book! It’s on #adhd queer relationships and sex. The topic makes it a nightmare for selling on social media or in Ireland - despite it being about, set in Ireland and by an Irish writer!
You’re very welcome. And my order of some gifts from arrived today and I’m delighted with them. (Not posting any photos of three of them though because they’re gifts 😂)
Not as delighted as I am! They’re even nicer in real life. And I may have bought myself a gift too 😝 but it’s so dark and dreary I couldn’t get a decent pic. Will try again tomorrow

Hi Bryan, have you ever heard Short Ballad for a Long Man? It's a rather lovely song about that same Irish Giant your latest zine is about.
