This is the kind of thing it's going to take. Grocery stores, how about a 25% discount if you've been laid off? Landlords, how about asking for only 1/2 the rent until this is over? Doctors/dentists, these people may no longer have insurance, some discounts, or pro bono visits?
Thank you Adam. FH also are great professionals with excellent facilities. They saved my pug recently working late into the middle of the night after he was viscously attacked on our evening walk. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oddly, I cannot access their website from Australia (Amazon, why Amazon?, tells me there is too much traffic to that address, even though it's the middle of the night in DC). I can access FHFA in CO, but not in DC.
Just wanted to congratulate them.
Friendship Animal Hospital is THE BEST! They saved my dog's life when he was brought in by a stranger who found him near death--after he had been attacked by other dogs. Forever grateful!

This place is the best, they offer co-exams for pets that live together which ended up being really great for one cat and really stressful for the other one.
I got 2 cats (brothers) for the price of one at a shelter. One of them had bit the tech and was slated to be euthanized. I asked what caused the bite. It was during a vax! I begged them to let me adopt both of them. They made me promise not to bring them back. Sweetest babies. Lived to be over 20.
Which is probably delighting the vet. Like I heard a nurse say they loved when babies were crying because that's a much better sign than quiet (health wise)
Not in DC, but when my cat, Maggie, was staying in the hospital, they let me go back there. She was in a covered cage with a sign pinned to it that said "May bolt." I thought it would make a good name.
Groucho always came out of anesthesia fighting mad.
Harpo just wanted to lay down in the litter box, for some reason. So I made sure to have a freshly changed one handy for him until he was fully out of it.
I saw this today. It restored my faith in humanity a little. I took my pup there a few times during Covid to see a specialist and they were awesome. I’ll definitely be referring people to them for this kind and generous gesture.
This is such a great place. When my sweet doggie died they sent cards from the staff. Some of the staff and his veterinarian even came to the memorial I had. Great people!
This is honestly beautiful, a Veterinarian who truly cares about their patients and doesn’t want animals to suffer because of a ridiculous mad man. If I were in the DC area and not 100% pleased with my vet, they’d have my business ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Friendship does excellent work. They’re an outstanding hospital, and this is not the first time they’ve helped out civil servants who have been in a rough spot. Solid members of the community.
Our former vet - wonderful caregivers. ❤️ What an incredible thing to do so people don’t have to worry about their fur babies in an emergency. Kindness. ❤️
I grew up near DC area in the 60-70’s, and Friendship Hospital was known as “the best” place to bring your animal for care. So good to hear they have not lost their way in this “grab all you can” mentality infiltrating our nation’s soul.

Just wanted to congratulate them.
Just wondering what can be done for those who have lost their jobs in D.C. and have families to get through, you know...life.
Still, this is a step in the right direction, and as an animal lover myself, it makes me think that maybe humanity and compassion still exists.
These are tough times for everyone...

They’re saving the cats!
