They're always talking about wanting to win over GOP voters, but if they cross the aisle, it's going to be because they *don't* want the GOP.
If they won on a left wing platform they’d have to eject those policies or lose rejection, and that would lose them donations.
Otherwise you’re nothing more than the loudest voice in a crowd.

They only 'follow polling' when they've decided to abandon the marginalized groups who they've only quietly resented in the past.
