And there's a lot of different flavours of worst things too. Could be a horrifying political event, could be some gore video, could be something else entirely.
Every day is also a new opportunity to comment on the worst thing in the world with a pithy remark so profound that it rips open the fabric of the universe. I'm still working on that one.
Or the best. Or the funniest. Or the sweetest. I prefer those because there is a lot of really negative stuff we have to deal with everyday these days.

Yeah I saw an abusive ex boyfriend guy definitely take a life ending injury in front of his daughter on Reddit and it was just on /r/therewasanattempt which is like not where I'd expect to see death
