I liked the idea of infophage but something about the word didn't sit with me so I tried mashing together parts of synonyms from other languages and I don't know if it's an improvement but the German for "knowledge eater" is Wissensfresser and I just needed to share that.
(But I guess I should clarify that I was quite entertained by the original.)
