Kickstarter can add whatever they want to the backend. They, and creators, and supporters, are still irreparably screwed. You cannot "adapt" to not knowing whether your landed cost will be X, 2X, 3X, or some other number.
This is a whole developing small business ecosystem that's getting killed.

Kickstarter adding a tariff manager to their backend because they know their userbase is entirely fucked.

In some of the sectors I participate in (cinematography, photography, etc) Chinese companies routinely used these platforms to release product, test out new iterations, etc. it’s a death blow.
I probably won't be doing that for projects that primarily involve tangible goods for the duration of this administration. And that hurts.

But a change in tariffs won't do it for me. This is a Mad Emperor scenario, and all of the competing Evil Grand Vizer contenders are dipshits.
I am not OK betting on whether they fail after doing everything right because a dude who stores classified materials in a spare shutter woke up in a bad mood.
Still waiting on an update once the remaining people at GTG sort out what's going on with Disparation expansion
They had *JUST* sent the damned thing to print when everything went to shit, the poor guys
This goes for small and large companies.
The guy is just so unpredictable they can’t afford the risk.
I backed stuff from either experienced companies working in their areas ((eg Modiphius, Mongoose in the TTRPG space) or from people who have substantial experience in the space they're starting in (eg the Good Omens graphic novel) without much hesitation. Anything else, I think hard.
That said, in the board game space, the people who are really screwed are currently in production for games users have already paid for. CMON is a miniatures heavy co with 11 games in production - they are FUCKED.
I've been having to deal with that ever since.
