The UK population is expected to exceed that of France in seven years, for the first time ever, according to a new bunch of stats released by the Office for National Statistics.

And here’s another one: if the racist nutters got their way and net migration fell to zero the UK population would halve in a century and take the economy and Welfare State with it.
Over a century, even in 20 years, the presently "surplus" countries will no longer provide emigrants to us, as fertility falls everywhere as modernisation progresses. Changing our society for a stable reproduction rate seems to be way forward - need investment in young people's benefits not pensions

Life expectancy is already dropping, and the government won’t reduce the pension age. So more Gen X will be worked to death.
France was always much warmer and more fertile than the Isles
