That's where I see the difference between Le Pen and the AfD: the latter are very transparently in the pay (or ideological orbit) of Trump and Putin, and would happily capitulate to both. Le Pen and AfD are both horrible in other respects, but this I think is the key difference.

The French lived under the Nazi boot for just over 4 long, brutal and painful years of Nazi oppression. It all happened just over 80 years ago. There are some still living who survived it as children, teens, and a few centenarians. I hope they continue to tell their experiences …
