But now we have a choice to be made and there is no special anything with the current US.
I should imagine it would be difficult which will have implications if NATO collapses.
But it would be a relief not to have Trump's boots on our soil.
If US is not willing to back Europe then there is no longer a need for US bases on our territories.
Either way close the bases, offer those American service members & families wishing to remain a job in a european military, or civilian job.

NATO will survive happily without spending billions on us tech that can be sourced cheaper and better in other NATO member nations, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, Belgium etc
