Is there something wrong with me when I do this with my own music. I do it with other music also, to the point of obsession sometimes, but I often wonder if finding comfort in the songs Iβve written about my own experiences is weird.
I just did this with Deeper Well by Kacey Musgraves. But the entire thing, not just a song. This is how I roll with any music I like. We were going to see her so I had to prep lol
I have been known to listen to a song hundreds of times over a few days, until I βgetβ whatever I wanted to learn from it. Honestly, itβs more often like thousands of times over weeks.
Me and MCR's Skylines and Turnstiles right now...a song from 2002!...playing rent-free in my head every morning when I wake up...pretty sure it's an ADHD thingπ€― https://youtu.be/3Zu9Hsb2XZs?si=ZGGuiKfFwi_Bue8R
Joan Baezβs Diamonds and Rust. I donβt know how I managed to avoid this song for 40 years or so but Iβve made up for it since.
This whole thread is a brilliant source for new music.
I am a bluegrass player that has played in metal, punk and country bands... Music fans are seldom limited to one genre. What is nice about Strings is he isn't afraid to lean on traditional grass
I'm lucky because where I work, I'm allowed to listen to music all day. That's 8 hours of cranking the good good. Even get to infect my co-workers with new sounds!
Cause its some of the most horrific music ever made.
Other people can listen to it but my ears throw up when i hear Old Time Rock & Roll. Cant even watch Risky Business anymore cause of that scene in the movie.
I find new music through tv commercials and streaming tv shows (Apple, Max)β¦.
The Tallest Man on Earth - It Will Follow The Rain, Human -a commercial about Jesus. A lot of really good music comes from obscure artists.
So hard tho!!! I try not to cause I get so tired of it /: but then once I stop listening to it and forget about. And then stumble upon it by accident I start going ham again lol
lol itβs called β¨stimmingβ¨
The feeling you get makes you stimulated thatβs why when we find a new song we like we listen to it till we hate it π personally I stop playing it till I forget it exists then when I find it again the cycle repeats π
This mix. I love this so much better than the LP version. It's a simple remix but it makes the song more melancholic. Neil Tennant just turned SEVENTY, and they're still turning out bangers like this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38j5X1AuWao
I have to look at the lyrics written in poem form. While watching the video. If I get an earworm I want to be able to run it through completely, with the correct words!
I did that with Owl City's "Fireflies". In fact, I made a YouTube Playlist with that song in it about 15 times so that I could listen to it on repeat and not have to keep restarting it.
Me when finding a song with the most indescribable vibes which itch my brain perfectly-- then frantically making a playlist for similar-sounding songs, only to find nothing compares... So I just end up looping one song over and over and over until I'm physically repulsed by it... Thanks ADHD! :)
