I’m biased toward my own weird old games like Sacrifice. Years later, when we were making Skylanders, Paul Reiche said Skylanders was a tiny bit like “Sacrifice for kids”. Though the former is an Action/RTS/RPG. My next game will go back to that weirdness and then some, but EASY to play.

You can tell it's an Insomniac game because the weapon upgrade system was ripped right out of Ratchet and Clank and Resistance.

Also, Nolan North didn't voice anyone in Sunset Overdrive. Yuri Lowenthal and Stephanie Lemelin voiced the male and female MCs.

You should check out Zeno Clash 1/2, Abyss Odyssey, really anything by ACE Team is kind of off-kilter and otherworldly/dreamy when playing. Definitely a unique set of experiences, and Zeno Clash has some of the best first-person brawling in the Source Engine.
