I think the Bluesky practice of muting or blocking trolls instantly instead of engaging with them is healthy and makes this a much more pleasant place.
This is a great norm.

Saw this comment, liked it, then recognized the name and followed. It's a fun little positive game for the current times.
I couldn’t resist but this is also another great Norm:
It preserves space for discussion, debate, and general enjoyment on here for all of us.
Don’t give these losers any oxygen.
This is how I feel the more I'm confronted by hateful right-wingers who think they're smart.
Life is short. Enjoy it.

Block all of their followers/ings.
Block dipshit.
There's no reason for it not to be a one strike rule.
...
I might be too individualist to understand social norms.
Engagement boosts visibility, which furthers more engagement.
Blocking = suffocation.
Never engage. Report, then block.
Even if it wasn't typical user behaviour on Twitter, we could still do it and reap the benefits either way.
'The Dry' by author Jane Harper. Don't know if you got to it, but it is good.
There are people here now who aren't happy unless they're making other people miserable. Not enough people to make miserable on X now? Go to Bluesky.
How sad is that? What happened in their early lives? (I'm still gonna block 'em.)
Do NOT mock. Mocking = engagement.
Report. Then Block.
Or just Block.
It’s very simple.
"Thanks for the handy, here's your fiver, out you go!"
If just blocking is good for you, do that!
Why? It's stressful, unproductive, and occasionally terrifying.
"it creates an Echo chamber"
Yeah? And?
The key word in "Social Media" isn't Media.
Polite discourse vs death threats? I'm in
- you can post all the shit you like, but can you admit replies involving death threats and funsies like "I hope you're gang r***d" maybe don't belong on a balanced platform?
I toy with them first, then I go for the block!
Then all you’ll have left is driving really slow down Hastings St.
Which is fun. 😂
The only one I tolerated was that Doc guy on Twitter cause he was polite, and I wanted to have someone on the inside.
My RWNJ list is on, here too
