At a moment when we desperately need a fragile truce to hold, Trump’s ramblings on Gaza risk having the effect of a bull in a china shop.
The UK needs to make clear that these proposals must be rejected, and that we support international law and a two state solution based on 1967 borders.

A two state solution would always leave Palestine split and at the mercy of Israel.
We need a one state solution with equal rights for all. A novel solution permanently managed as a UN protectorate. The 3 religions can share Jerusalem but no religion allowed in the civic administration
Starmer will nod yes and lammy
Spineless
The world needs to stand up to Trump! He only thinks he’s strong when he has a pen in his hand. Otherwise he’s weak!!!

I tell you he won't, he's shameless and is letting the British people down.
A waste of space.
I'm very, very angry with Starmer.
He then makes draws on compassion and empathy before making strong and logical points.
He got us 72 MPs. He is the most respected leader in opinion polls. Don't knock him.
A Middle Eastern riviera? This is a peoples’ homeland. Has he no respect for them?
But if KS sits on the fence regarding this US government and insists on "working together" KS will lose my support / good will.

On Gaza KS is luke warm when he talks about it, barely mentioning the suffering of the population. Recently though he is due praise for standing by the ICC.
However, no direct criticism of Israel only a few implied remarks about lifting the seige etc.
I expect that the current cease fire will be broken by Israel as it is in Lebanon with a trivial excuse.
He can't say anything bad about Trump, or Netanyahu, so presumably it will fall to the Palestinian people to comply, because this is all their fault according to Labour.
