I submit because I’m usually just sitting at home working. I don’t expect any processing to occur during this time.
Although I also realize that is an expectation that is the result of living in a predominantly Christian society.

Lol….but it does beg the question of maybe having journals not send anything to editors/reviewers around major religious holidays? I’ve seen some other posts of ppl complaining about researchers submitting during the break.

Thanks. I'm amazed that some folks took this seriously. But yeah, unfortunately, while some folks didn't take a vacation many do. I wanted to and I do not celebrate XMAS but I do celebrate time off. Unfortunately, I have these papers. And no, I cannot just wait to do these after Jan 1.
