I have a stomach bug so I asked my 15 year old son to please bring me a piece of bread.
He brought me an entire baguette.
He just handed it to me.
I had to ask for the plate separately.

You should be proud. His mum is unwell and he took care of her. Good lad.
I hope you feel better soon.
Nope.
Please do a better job of raising your child. π
(As the survivor of five teenagers, I can attest to this approach to a request. EVERYTHING needs to be spelled out.)
Hope you're feeling better.
"I'm so hungry I could eat a bowl of lard with a hair in it."
"Mom, you didn't say how big of a piece of bread you wanted"?
He happily said yes, sure β I later saw he had tossed them on top of the toilet seat. π
There was an empty towel rack, btw.
LOL too funny!
You are so funny!!!
Just wait till itβs Driverβs training time. All those things youβd think heβd learn from watching you drive will be lost when he takes the wheel. Time will tell if he picks up the skills hidden behind his eyeballs.
Your son seems adorable π₯°
Get well. β€οΈβπ©Ή
(I have a 17 yo.....he has improved, so there's hopeπ)
Hope you feel better soon. Have you ever had him cook a meal and plate it? My son would also do dishes, I donβt have a dishwasher. Taught him these skills and he helps his wife around the home doing chores. π«Ά

He will begin to find a use for nuance, and extrapolating more complete, workable solutions from basic requests as soon as he's 23 or becomes a Dad, whichever happens first...
Check under his bed for missing dishes and silverware and also bring a garbage bag before you go to his room. You can find chicken bones, pizza leftovers and empty soda cans under his bed.
Thank me later.
& their immediate supervisors,
who'd often complain teens were lazy
when it was often the supervisors
failed to be specific/detailed
in what they wanted done.
You can't tell a teen "go clean kitchen"
& be happy with their job.
Say: wipe counters/cupboards, wash floors...
I can identify with that thinking.

but feel better.
At 15 years old, he's way too old to not have learned these important life lessons.
We don't do this with girls.
Feel better
Get well soon! HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!
