I wrote about how Trump is destroying American democracy, along with eight crucial lessons about how to counteract it, drawing on my 14 years of studying brave pro-democracy opposition movements in authoritarian regimes across the globe. We’re in serious trouble, but there’s still hope.

“Real leaders change political narratives, they don’t just chase existing ones. Donald Trump has radically changed political viewpoints precisely because he doesn’t just follow polls and test messages with focus groups. If people currently seem”
So yeah. All this - *gestures broadly* - looks really really familiar to me.
It’s not too late. But in a year, it will be.
We cannot cede the info-space to the most malignant voices. But it’s not easy.
•unite with all who agree to save democracy
•exploit divisions in the ruling movement
•slowing them down can help
•digital activism matters little compared to protests, boycotts, & strikes
•nonviolent movements are more effective
Or are you pushing for a return to the CIA + capitalists being the US Government?
The one aspect particular to the US your analysis is missing is the component of racial disparity of the "output legitimacy" in GOP-dominated States.
Don’t wait. Saving a Democracy is Possible. Resurrecting one is not.
Unite with everyone who believes in democracy. True love and purity tests don’t help.
Divide the enemy. Find cracks. Exploit them.

Digital activism doesn’t work. Direct action is critical. Protest. Boycott. Strike.
Nonviolence is best. Avoid violence or destruction.
Don’t wait for orders. Act now. Find a group. Leverage your skills.
Simple language. It’s fascist. It’s wrong. He’s a dictator.

We had Special Prosecutor Jack Smith saying in Jan *this year* that there was sufficient evidence to indict if Trump hadn't been re-elected; so why TAF was this conclusion not reached a year or more earlier?
USA is screwed for decades.
It needs a miracle, sorry.
One point of contention. You say Europeans are asking "Why aren’t Americans in the streets?"
WE. ARE. IN. THE. STREETS. Every week there are MULTIPLE protests, rallies, marches all across the country!
